Birthday Celebration!

What a great way to start my day to arrive to a fully decorated office, ready for a birthday party! From balloons to princess tiara's and feathered magic wand...I knew I was going to have a great day. The thoughtful gang even hung the Happy Birthday banner low enough that I can walk through without bending down...but everyone else had to bow when they come in! It made sense when I saw my office chair was turned into a princess throne!

Then came down the hall was a messenger delivering flowers...the beautiful arrangement was from my sweet husband Chris, The arrangement had these deep purple tulips that looked like silk fabric.

At lunch, my Disney family took me to Gordon Biersch. I had a Chicken and Arugula Sandwich with Garlic Fries. (Yum!) And got carded when I ordered a beer! (Yeh!) Michelle couldn't make it, but we made sure we had photos to show her that we had a great time.

Then we shared a slice of chocolate cake. I think Ann and I ate most of it.

When I got back to the office, there were more flowers and gifts for me. Not only they looked so pretty, they smelled really good too!

I left work a little bit early because Chris was taking me to dinner at one of my favorite restaurant The Little Door . They were voted the best romantic restaurant in L.A. and they deserve that 100%. We shared a mediterranean appetizer plate and spicy ahi tuna tartar. Chris had the Tbone steak with cracked pepper, and I ordered the monkfish wrapped in applewood bacon with a lemon caper sauce....is your mouth watering yet? I was so full that I only had a little bit of the entree, but left just enough room for dessert: The trio creme brulée (the coffee and orange flavored ones were our favorite, the 3rd flavor was vanilla). We had a wonderful meal and great conversations.

I couldn't have had a better birthday celebration. Thank you everyone for making it so special, and made getting old a lot of fun.
